The making of the opera “The Lion's Face” offers exciting insights into the creation process of the production.

The production team of Elena Langer's chamber opera The Lion's Face” invites you to find out more about the work, which will be performed on 26 and 27 June at HELLERAU. After an introduction to the creation and plot of the opera and a rehearsal visit, musical director Jan Arvid Prée, director Kai Anne Schuhmacher and puppeteer Christoph Levermann will present the music and the production idea. The theme of the opera: How to deal with patients who, like Mr D., have Alzheimer's disease and cannot dream their life's dreams to the end?
